Relaxation Exercise

Part 4

This relaxation exercise was not as soothing and relaxing. There was more thinking and more imagining than I prefer when trying to find a calm relaxing state to settle into. I do think this exercise was beneficial because I had to learn and train my body to stay calm and listen carefully to the directions what were being given.

  1. I felt the same way about this relaxation exercise. My usual guided meditation has lots of long pauses, so the constant imagining and instructions in this exercise felt hindering. I wanted to tell the guy to shut up and let me relax already! Now that I know what to expect, I think I'll try it again and see I'm more successful.

  2. I was not so relaxed either, my mind was wandering quiet a bit. I think that the sound of water instantly makes me think of my many vacations and swimming adventures every summer. I have a strong love of water and it is relaxing but only if I am near it seeing it. I love to swim and take my kids swimming. Our plan this summer is to beach hop! The aquatic center we usually have summer passes to is getting boring! So anyway this is where my mind was. I would recommend that everyone try it and form their own opinion.
